Cosy country cottage in the Brecon Beacons

Welcome to our 145 year old cosy cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We are located in a perfect location in the countryside in the quaint village of Defynnog on the A4067, 8 miles from the base of Pen y Fan. Our cottage can comfortably accommodate 4 adults, plus there is a sofa bed which could accommodate an additional 2 adults if required. Your own bOur aim is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible whilst here, and we will be at the end of the phone should you need us

In the designated dark skies area of the Brecon Beacons National Park with miles of walks and exciting visitor attractions, Wern Ddu offers the perfect dog friendly escape for up to four guests in a relaxing atmosphere within a short distance from Brecon, Merthyr Tydfil and the villages of Sennybridge and Defynnog with their traditional pubs and shops.

Snug Oak Hut with a view on a Welsh Hill Farm

Set like a jewel in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, this tiny house is inspired by a traditional shepherd hut and offers super luxurious accommodation. Both cosy and private it's a place to snuggle down and get away from it all. It is cosy, light, airy and free of draughts. It has a clean, fresh comfortable feel and a traditional log burner. If the weather is good it is an ideal location for outdoor pursuits. If the weather is poor, stay inside and watch films, listen to music or play games.

Enjoy your own private en-suite with hot shower, wood-fired hot tub, and peaceful soundtrack of birdsong and country life. The Toad makes a fantastic all-year-round base to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

An historic fully refurbished character barn attached to our traditional Welsh Long House home. Having a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed accessing it via a beautiful spiral staircase. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen dinner with a wood burning stove and a beautiful chandelier. The kitchen is well appointed including electric oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wine cooler. Large windows are at the front and back of the property with the most stunning views.

Spacious 3 bedroom cottage in heart of Beacons

Cwmclyn Canol is a quiet and cozy cottage inside the Bannau Breicheniog National Park with a pub within walking distances and footpaths directly onto Pen Y Fan. The cottage was refurbished in 2022 to a high standard and boasts magnificent mountain views. Additional views include waddling ducks, squabbling chickens and honking geese. Good wifi, TV/DVD, films and a box of games. Kitchen has plenty of everything and there is a log burner in the living room as well as a firepit outside.

Just 10 miles from the market town of Brecon, nestled in the Brecon Beacons; South Wales' highest peak Penyfan, is only a short drive away, making it an attractive tourist location.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature, perfect for a relaxing break or exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park and dark skies reserve. 10 minute walk to cwmgwdi car park, one of the most direct routes to Pen y fan.
