As we have lived in Franschhoek for over 40 years, we are trustworthy hosts and know the area well. Great news is we have an inverter for lights and wifi to assist during load shedding.

La Vieille Cure

LaViellie Cure in one of the oldest house in Franschhoek, built earlier than 1850 and declared National Monument in 1981. The cottage has its own private entrance and cozy courtyard with mountain view and pergolas at the front and back patios. The inside is characterised by a spacious open studio that retains the historical features with an added touch of modernity. The historical cottage is at walking distance from restaurants and from the wine tram station and many others amenities!!

Heidi’s Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Woodend Cottage with Private Garden & Pool

Woodend and its sister Orchard Cottage are situated on Le Vallon, a farm within easy walking distance of the quaint village of Franschhoek, the food and wine capital of South Africa. Each cottage is fully self-contained and perfect for families of all ages. They both have private pools in their good sized private cottage gardens. From the farm it is an easy stroll down into the village main street, but just far enough away to give you the peace and quiet of a rural setting.

Leopard cottage is a quiet, newly finished and safe one bedroom self catering cottage located behind our house on a residential street in Franschhoek. You will have privacy on the covered stoop as you relax looking at the garden enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. A separate entrance to our cottage allows you to come and go as you please. You’ll love the cottage because of the spacious, private, setting on a working wine and fruit farm nestled against the mountains of Franschhoek Valley. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.
