Guest tax

The city of Leipzig is collecting a guest tax for temporary visitors of the city according to the guest tax by-law. All guests who are not permanent residents in Leipzig are subject to guest tax.

Some guests, like children, pupils, students, and trainees up to the age of 25 as well as severely disabled persons are exempt from the guest tax.
