Nestled in a small valley, this quaint cabin is a perfect mountain getaway. Built in 1890, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. The closest neighbors are 3 friendly donkeys that love to greet guests at the fence for attention and ear rubs. Fishing poles and donkey treats are provided to round out your stay. We're 20 scenic minutes to Slade or Stanton and 25 to Mount Sterling.

Beautiful cabin, creek, woods, horse farm.

Bella Vista sits on 175 acres of pasture, woods, trails and a beautiful creek in the Red Lick Valley. Once a large-scale horse farm we currently have only four pasture puffs who you will see grazing around the cabin. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, walk the creek looking for Kentucky agates, geodes, explore the trails, or just take solace in the peace and quiet of the cabin. We bought the farm in 2020 and are in the process of bringing it back to its glory days.

There's so much to do in the area from four-wheeling trails, horseback riding trails, or hiking on well established trails in the S-Tree Tower and Horse Lick creek areas. It's a real treat to see all the wildlife in the area, such as deer, and wild turkey roaming around!
