Private Studio Apartment with Queen-sized low-platform bed. Newly renovated main-space in a very cozy home centrally located in a beautiful small town. 5 min walk to MetroNorth Train to NYC/Pace University/bars/restaurants/coffee shops/Jacob Burns Film Center. One of the best "walking" towns in beautiful Westchester County. 45m train to NYC. Great outdoor activities close by. Host nearby in main house (separate entrance) for any questions!

About the Studio Apartment:
The private, Studio Apartment has a private entrance from our front porch- the door to the studio is the farthest one on the front porch. There is a brand new Queen-size Sealy Posturepedic mattress on a low platform bed frame. The couch also includes a full-size sofa-bed with an upgraded mattress.

The room is lined with windows on two-sides, letting in plenty of natural light. There is also a large mirror, closet space, and a chest for your things. Some house plants and treasures from our travels also give good energy to the room. Some things have been rearranged with time, but the photos are very reflective of what to expect.

Note: The house is located up on a hill off of a main road, and there is a parkway nearby. At times, you can hear it from the apartment a bit. It isn't very loud, and it hasn't been a big issue for our guests, but we do want to let you know that it's audible just for full disclosure! Some people like the "hum". In the foliage months, its very quiet.

There is a full-bath/shower and a small kitchen with a full-size fridge, 4-burner stove, microwave, coffee pot, kitchen supplies, etc. The kitchen & bathroom do not have new appliances, but everything is in good working condition.

About the House:
The main house + studio is located in Pleasantville, a beautiful small town in Westchester County. The house is full of windows and has a porch in the front for nice people/neighborhood-watching. It sits on the top of a hill off the main road, so walks to town are super quick, nicely paved, and are frequented by many fellow town residents, dog walkers, bikers, etc.

This Studio is attached to our family home, but completely private with private entrance. And we are a very welcoming family. You can have as much/little privacy as you'd like...if you need anything, just text us or knock on the main house door. Otherwise, we respect your privacy. On occasion, a family member may use the front porch, but if there is ever an issue with this, please do not hesitate to let me know!

We are located just 5-10m walking distance to EVERYTHING! ... Pace University is down the block! There's family coffee shops, bakeries, film center, Starbucks, biking, restaurants, bars, fully side-walked town, entertainment, renowned ping pong parlor by NY Times crossword puzzle maker, and of course NYC (45min train).

Such a great place for a getaway from NYC or other places! Pleasantville attracts people from all over Westchester and outside areas for several reasons. It is home to the famous Jacob Burns Film Center which shows plenty of independent films.

Since we are located near Pace University so if you are visiting the school this house is perfect. You can walk down the block - less than 5 minutes.

There are plenty of restaurants, bars and activities. One of the famous restaurants in our area is Blue Hill Stone Barns (a farm to table restaurant about 10 min away.)

Checkout NY Times Crossword Puzzle Creator Will Shortz's Table Tennis Center- great for playing Ping Pong...and maybe getting an autograph...walking distance from our home!

We have the "Best in Westchester" Farmer's Market in town every Saturday-Even in the winter- The Market moves Indoors. Lots of great local organic produce & beautiful home made goods.

There is a grocery store, Key Foods, located a 5 minute walk from the house.

And only 10 min away (by car) is Rockwood Park and Rockefeller Park --both are beautiful and located right on the Hudson River. They are great for walking or hiking trails.

Also less than 10 minutes is a huge bike path that goes up and down the Hudson. Ask us to borrow a bike!

If going to New York City is too far but you'd like to get out, White Plains is a 15 minute train ride and has great night life, food and entertainment as well.

I was in the Peace Corps in El Salvador from 2010-2012 and 2013-2016 studied and worked in Costa Rica. My work and passions are nature-based healing and education.
