Blue Mountains Hike up the Three Sisters
With a like-minded group of explorers, you’ll travel by scenic train from Sydney's CBD to tackle a full-day trek through the Blue Mountains wilderness. You’ll explore lush forests, waterfalls and stunning vistas with incredible views of the Eucalypt-filled valleys below before climbing 300m/1000ft (over 800 steps in total!) to emerge right beneath the Three Sisters themselves. People travel from all over the world to view the sisters from Echo Point's viewing platform - but this experience is for those with a true sense of adventure, who want to get off the beaten path and into the wilderness. Over the course of the day, you'll be walking 14 km (9 miles). But don't worry about keeping up with the pace. There will be plenty of time to soak it all in and share the good vibes of this walk. And the best thing? All the proceeds go to help kids in need, as Emu Trekkers is a 100% not-for-profit organisation run by volunteer guides. Note: We're relaunching this hike after a break during COVID. You can be sure this is the same great hike all our reviews talk about.
Sydney's Convict Colony — History Tour
ON THIS UNIQUE EXPERIENCE: Join a passionate history-guide on an exploration of Sydney’s notorious convict heritage at Sydney Cove & The Rocks. Expect fascinating stories, delivered with energy & insight, as we explore the remarkable lives of sailors, soldiers, scallywags, convicts, con-artists, craftsmen, larrikins & low-lives as they began to trade rum, quarry stone & etch a living upon Sydney's shoreline. Over 2.5 hours, we'll unpack the process of convict transportation in graphic detail — retracing the steps of its curious colonial characters & their immediate effect Sydney's ancient Indigenous clans. We'll also investigate the haunts and schemes of local street gangs, gambling dens & opium saloons in the 19th C. Navigating the cobbled alley-ways, hidden corridors & forgotten monuments of this port-side settlement, we'll venture off the beaten track to dig up its memories - the good, the bad & the plague ridden. Designed to engage both Sydney locals & visitors, this is a journey through time & space that takes history off the shelf and brings it to life with vivid descriptions, imagery & an infectious passion for the past. N.B: This tour has a 2 person booking minimum. This walking history-tour is best suited for guests aged 12+ and contains some adult themes from Sydney's history. Get up close and personal with the gorgeous rescued farm animals of the sanctuary. The tour involves meeting and feeding snacks to all of the animals. First we introduce you to the sheep, alpacas and then the goats. Everyone is keen for a weetbix or 2! The chickens will also be roaming around ready to steal some weetbix crumbs or sweetcorn. Next we take an easy walk over to meet the gentle cows who will most likely be relaxing in their paddocks still digesting breakfast. After some cow cuddles it is off to meet the pigs, Sunday, Ivy and Boston. Glow-worm tour and Spotlighting
Age 7 and up. Good mobility needed! An unforgettable, educational experience visiting the unique glow worms after a short walk through World Heritage listed forest and rainforest. We will meet at sunset, spending a little time introducing ourselves and safety briefing. Then as the stars begin to appear, with the use of torches, we begin our 20 minute walk to the overhanging cave and waterfall, with the possibility of seeing our amazing nocturnal wildlife. Possums, gliders, owls and bats to name just a few. Another truly amazing encounter, only within the first 3 weeks of summer is the chance of fireflies. We will spend 30 minutes to an hour in the overhang, behind the waterfall learning about these incredible glowing larvae and why they glow. The track is mostly in good condition, though there are some stairs and heavily eroded sections therefore a medium fitness level is required. Glow worms are extremely sensitive to light and sound so we will ask our clients to respect this and there will be a 5 minute educational talk around this before entering the cave. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the tour. Torches are supplied for everyone on this experience. Minimal impact is very high on our list of priorities and instructions will be given on how to achieve this. We ask our clients to adhere to these rules.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge towers above like a cathedral of steel. The sun shimmers on the water. Breathe the fresh, salty air and gaze at the curved seashell shape of the Opera House and the glassy downtown skyscrapers reflecting the sky. You’re exploring the world famous Sydney Harbour on a boat. Even better, you’re the one behind the wheel. Yup, that’s right. You’re the captain on this unforgettable adventure. This is a fantastic way to see the main highlights of the harbour in a short amount of time - without having to share a boat with hundreds of others or listen to pre-recorded commentary. It’s an authentic, small-group experience with a knowledgeable local guide - giving you an up-close-and-personal glimpse of Sydney’s coolest spots. If you’ve never driven a boat before - don’t panic. The speedboat is safe and easy to operate and I’ll be right there to help you! No experience or licence is required. This two hour self-drive boat tour is perfect if you are short on time. However, if you have time for our three hour journey (https://www.airbnb.com.au/experiences/693197) - the upgrade is definitely worth it. When you factor in time for the safety briefing and preparation, the three hour trip actually gives you nearly twice as much time on the water! It’s a great value way to explore even more of the legendary Sydney Harbour. Other things to note Please wear casual clothes and shoes and bring sunscreen and a hat/cap. I will provide you with a life vest, and a waterproof bag for all your valuables. There are ponchos available if required.

This tour has a strong focus on uncovering Sydney's long connection with China, and the contributions Chinese-Australians have made to the community. You'll learn more in 2.5 hours about Australia's Chinese community than you could possibly imagine, and "pub trivia" style games will keep it interactive and fun. We finish back where we started, and you'll get a souvenir to take home, plus a great map and guide to Chinatown, covering all the best restaurants and what to order. Surf lessons from a local at the iconic Bondi Beach
Having grown up right by the beach, I have always loved being in the water. Surfing is something that has not only brought me joy but also kept me healthy and fit (not to mention.. it's a bunch of fun!). I like to share this passion with others who are keen to learn to get in the water and have a go. The session is capped to 2 people maximum and includes a board and wetsuit. We'll paddle out to the surf spots, so a good level of fitness is required! I'll have everything ready for you at our meeting point, so please just bring yourself, some swimmers, and sunscreen! Please note, if you have never surfed before and the ocean is a bit rough, I may reschedule for a small and easy day. Surfing at Bondi can be challenging and this experience may not be suited if you are unaccustomed to swimming in the ocean and going underwater through waves. Bondi can also get very busy! So please keep this in mind. Thanks, looking forward to meeting you!
