There is a 4.2 mile trail around the cove. Great place for walking. Check the tide charts. I recommend going during high tide because it looks better.

If you want a sandy beach nearby, this one is good. If you're willing to drive farther, I recommend Pine Point in Scarborough.

Check the Ferry schedule. "The Diamond Pass Run" and "Mailboat Run" are great. You'll cruise around the Casco Bay and see the local islands. These rides take 2- 3.5 hours.
