Popular for boozy tea parties and the ladies can borrow from a huge selection of hats to look the part. Great brunch menu till 5pm. Reservations probably essential.

It is now a world-renowned centre for plant science, horticulture and education and extends over four Gardens (Edinburgh, Benmore, Dawyck and Logan) boasting a rich living collection of plants. The Edinburgh gardens cover over 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds which provide a tranquil haven less than two miles from the apartment Open daily (March to Sept) 10am – 6pm, (Feb & Oct) 10am – 5pm, (Nov to Jan) 10am -4pm. Closed 25 December and 1st January Garden entry FREE with a charge for Glasshouses
