Be aware that the house can’t have many visitors at the same time. Buy your tickets because of that in advance by internet. Two months in advance the tickets will be released. From my house you can park your car in 15 minutes for 1 euro a day (!) if you travel to the center of Amsterdam. From this station in Amsterdam Noord you take the metro Noord Zuidlijn to the center in two stops. There is no cheaper and more comfortable way to travel to Amsterdam.
