In the summertime, you can visit the Vondelpark Open Air theatre. Several cabaret, dance and musicshows are programmed. Check the website: www.openluchttheater.nl/english for the whole program.

De Parade is a theatre festival I visit since when I was a child. Every year in july or august the festival settles at the Martin Luther King Park. You can see theatre shows and have some nice diner.

My favorite theatre in Amsterdam is Bellevue. A black box theatre with a great program. And the well known theatre café ‘The Smoeshaan’ is located next door.

Now and then, I like to go to Monnickendam by bike. In about 15 minutes I escape the busy city and arrive in the beautiful Waterland. I simply follow the route on the route signs.
