A must see

If you love film, this is a must! Situated along the Ij river in Amsterdam Noord, this is one of our favourite museums in Amsterdam.
One of the most sustainable urban developments in all of Europe. About a 10 minute walk from our house, this is truly one of Amsterdam's most unique spaces. An abandoned shipyard turned into eco-village, de Ceuvel has a great bar, (vegetarian) restaurant, and in general just a cool place to explore.

Nature and exploration

A unique, natural area perfect for a long bike ride conveniently a 15-20 minute bike ride from our home. In the summer, you can also rent a boat or a canoe.
A beautiful large park with a playground, swimming pool, cafe and just a nice place to walk around.

Food scene

One of our favourite, cozy cafes in Amsterdam Noord. Located in the heart of Noorderpark, this cafe has nice food, good beers and is very accommodating for families. In the summer, check out their live music and festivals.

Neighbourhoods

A beautiful old village that has been integrated into Amsterdam. It makes you feel like you've been transported to the 17th century, with lovely old houses and a cozy "bruin" cafe. Definitely worth a visit by bike or foot.
