It's a very old garden and they changed the sidepart so that you can be very near the garden without entering and have a drink or lunch or diner in the old conservatory of the 'friends of Artis' meeting rooms with a large terrace under old trees.

Situated in a former nursing home along the river Amstel, beautiful environment, beautiful building, interesting exibitions. Don't forget to visit the ajacent garden and the Nieuwe Keizersgracht with the Schaduwkade project at the left side of the Hermitage.

7 minutes walk and one of the best markets, not very touristic, nice admosfere, nice variety of products.

Waterlooplein market is still a nice place in a nice environment, it is next to the Opera where the famous National Ballet has its domicily (look at their agenda!) and is surrounded by nice shops, bars and restaurants.

Very nice and interesting university garden with 2 big new hot houses and several small butterfly houses. But also they preserved the old hot house and they run a very cosy restaurant/bar with terrace.

All Utrechtsestraat is nice for shopping, relaxing, dinner (restaurant Megna is fantastic!), lunch etc. At the end of Utrechtsestraat you will find Rembrandsplein, different admosfere but lots of things going on.

Just around the corner you will find a small restaurant with a very nice variety of wonderfull dishes for a reasonable price. Our favorite place for a quick meal.
