Nice place for cocktails and fruit shakes. Cheap mojitos and burgers / nachos. Also does breakfast. Great for starting the night and is the busiest place for weekday evenings. Has board games as well.

Bar / Restaurant / Nightclub till 3am (weekends). Small and cosy dance floor, but most of the time the music is so bad it's offensive. Tiburon means shark and this is where they hunt. Great roof terrace right on the beach though, can be great on a hot summer night.

They have Guinness on tap. I case you need more convincing, there is a pool table and it's easy going. Sometimes live music and salsa dancing upstairs. !!! Not to be confused with the Rober's fast food place just a few doors down!!!

Parks & Nature
some nice hikes and bike trails here, the small beach of Garraf village is nice to visit with clean water to swim and good lunch restaurants. Plus there is a train station. There is a nice hike from here to Sitges as well. The park is very big and has many options. Also climbing and amazing from road or mountain bike. At the back, towards Vilafranca is where the famous Penedes wine region starts. You can also pass vines when hiking or biking.

Very impressive rock formations. The Montserrat has a strong place in Catalan history. The local monetary gets busy and it is where you are supposed to go if you want to have children, maybe better to avoid it then ;-) The mountain itself offer fantastic hiking day trips and longer. Also climbing, bouldering and mountain biking. There is an amazing restaurant there, quite possible my favourite of the Catalan country restaurants.

43 Pg. de GràciaOne of my favourites when it comes to Gaudi.
Before starting the Sagrada Familia Gaudi practised some of his ideas here. The town was set up by the rich industrialist Sr. Guell more or less following ideas of the English garden city movement. Gaudi was to build the church, but only the crypt was constructed. It has an impressive brick parabola structure. Not many tourist make it here. A great alternative to all the busy Gaudi sites in Barcelona.

A must see for Architecture enthusiasts. One of the first icons of modernist architecture. It's a small pavilion (1928) and a study of open plan living. I recommend going after seeing a lot of Gaudi for the optimal shock effect (and remind yourself that there was only a decade or so between some of the works)

A shopping mall, nothing special, but has all the basics. Plus the Mercadona grocery store. You can park for free. All other big grocery stores can be found very close by.

This is the closest store (it's inside the gas station) for small basics such as water. Just one street behind this location on Carrer de Tarragona is a Sorli Dicau, a medium sized supermarket. Ask the locals to point you in the right direction.

A fantastic half day trip. Amazing rock formations and a nice and rewarding short hike (maybe 1.5 hour) to a castle ruin Sant Miquel d'Eramprunyà (you can try to climb the fences if they are not open). Also longer hike options available, for instance back to Castelldefels through the park. At the Ermita there is a nice restaurant with great views where you can eat traditional Catalan food. Try calçots if they are in season.
