Newgrange is one of the finest examples, not only in Ireland, but in Western Europe, of the type of tomb known as a passage grave. You can visit Newgrange from the Bru Na Boinne Visitor Centre on the south side of the river Boyne, clear directions are given in Slane.

This is really a beautiful place for all the family plenty of space for children to run around, nice walled gardens and walks all over the site and a tour of the house.
