Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles is "such an L.A. institution that people don't even question the strange combo anymore." While this location is local to Inglewood, head to the location on Sunset and Gower in Hollywood if you are in the area. Great view of the Hollywood sign while waiting.

If you're going to see the Hollywood sign also check out the Griffith Observatory. It commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. Uber and Lyft or Car Rental Recommended

Uber and Lyft are convenient modes of transportation when traveling. If you are traveling internationally be sure to setup your account in advance. Renting a car is also a convenient options especially if you have many plans or are traveling quite a distance outside the city. Street parking is typically available in front of the residence. Public transportation is available but Los Angeles has not been a great city for public transportation since the early 20th century.
