You’re scooped ice cream is delicious and they have all kinds of different sweet treats clothing souvenirs etc. and as a bonus it is within a long walk or short biking distance. But, stay off the bypass  if you’re not going by car!

This is a great place to fly s kite or watch the sunset. You can park at kitty hawk kites and do some shopping before walking across the street to the dunes.

The town of KDH does not allow dogs on the beach between 9 AM and 5 PM. This is a great option. Or, you can drive to Nagshead where they do allow dogs. Or, just go early or late!
