The park in front of the apartment houses lots of activities. You can play petanque, basket or football and there is a nice playground. There are tables where you can barbecue and in the winter there is iceskating.
The park was originally laid out by famous architect Arne Jacobsen as his first big assignment after finishing the School of Architecture. I love the dome he made in front of the bedroom window. It is a small music scene but rarely used.

A favorite place of mine. Perfect setting by the water so bring swim wear and a towel. A bit overrun since I brought a Lonely Planet author here and it ended up in the guide :/

On top of parliament is this uniquely located restaurant. Reservation required. You will have to wait in line to pass security but it is worth the wait.

Most danes regard Nyhavn as a tourist trap, but I grew up around the corner and I think Cap Horn is one of the good places. Maybe don’t go on the weekends.
