The place where Emperor Charles V was born in 1500! There are a few remnants of the old castle, like the 'Donkere Poort', an original gate. You can also see the statue of Charles V and a maquette of how the castle must have looked like

Fortified gate from the 15th century. Now there is not much interesting going on here, but this place used to be a Medieval city gate, and after Charles V broke down our city walls it became a prison for a while! I guess crime was low in these days because I dont see an awfull lot of place there to put prisoners.
