Great hidden restaurant where you eat outside on the street with locals. Also, around the corner is another great restaurant: La Botticella on Viccolo del Leopardo. Not cheap but both very romantic!

Best pizza. Pizza is only a night food because real pizza shops only fire up their ovens after the sun has set. This place has a great selection and the staff is friendly.

Cheap and cheerful. Cheapest coffee or beer in Rome. All locals. Great for a coronetto and coffee, a chocolate ice cream (it's famous!), or a prosecco before dinner.

Great old fashioned cheese shop. The owner and his wife will not sell it to just anyone. When they retire, either they sell it to someone who loves cheese as much as them or they close the doors.

This cinema was taken over by young people a year or two ago. Now they show interesting films and hold talks, or show soccer matches. They have kept the police out all this time and are doing well!

Park. Great vistas, great for dogs, nice playground. A real hidden gem with lots of sculptures. This was once owned by a family and they gave it over to Mussolini "for the people of Rome".
