Prospect Park
The flagship park of Brooklyn designed by the same architect of Central Park (Olmsted). Tons of things to do inside including skating rink, free concerts in the summer, and boat rental. Great place for a run/bike ride.
Beautiful Gardens very close-by! There is an admission fee but it's free on Fridays from 9-12 PM!

Huge museum with fantastic collection and great exhibitions less than a 10 minute walk away! On the first Saturday of the month there is essentially a big party there with performances from 5-10 PM. It's free with drinks for purchase and amazing for people watching!

Two separate bar areas and lots of outdoor picnic tables for when the weather is nice. They open up the restaurant/bar for dancing on Saturday nights after 10 PM. Definitely a younger crowd.
