Hanneke's Boom, located next to the Amsterdam Central Station, NEMO and the sky lounge, is a bar with a great vibe. Great place to have a drink when you return from a day full of sightseeing.

Not located very well, but it's definately an hidden gem in Amsterdam. Great to have a drink and relax.

Next to the Central Station, on top of the Hilton, there is a Sky Lounge. Drinks are rather expensive, beer / wine €8,-, but it has a great overview over Amsterdam. Great place to have a drink!

The Westerpark is a nice park to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
After a long day of sightseeing it is nice to relax and have a drink in the Vondelpark. In the later afternoon it can be pretty crowded by both tourists and locals.

Entertainment & Activities

The Movies is very beautiful and the best art-house cinema I know. I visit it with great pleasure for many years now. You can randomly pick a movie and expect it to be of quality. Highly recommended!

The Movies is very beautiful and the best art-house cinema I know. I visit it with great pleasure for many years now. You can randomly pick a movie and expect it to be of quality. Highly recommended!

De boerenmarkt, or the biological farmers market, is open every saturday from 9 to 16 and is definately worth a visit. It's not too big and it's right around the corner :)
