Food scene

The Buckhorn Bar in Exeland has amazing food, reasonable prices, and fast service. They are locally known for their Broasted Chicken Wings that they serve by the hundred on Thursday nights, but the Broasted Chicken they serve every night is to die for. I also am a huge fan of their prime rib and fish fry! Give them a try for an evening bite to eat.

Located about 10 miles from the home, Helsing's bar has amazing lunch sandwiches and dinners. If you are headed north, I can't think of a better place to stop for a quick lunch.

Brenda's Village Cafe recently underwent new ownership, so it may have a new name. It always had delicious breakfast cooked to order at bottom dollar prices and amazing pie. It was open until 2:00 p.m. for breakfast and lunch. If the new owners are half as good as Brenda was, you will not be disappointed.
