An easy walking hike through the UNESCO World Heritage Site, can take roughly 1 hour or up to 3 hours, depending on the routes you choose and how much of the park you want to explore. In the heart of Praslin, the reserve has the vestiges of a natural palm forest preserved in almost its original state. The famous Coco de Mer, from a palm-tree once believed to grow in the depths of the sea, is the largest seed in the plant kingdom.

The best way to get around Praslin is by car
As we are located in a quiet area of Praslin we highly recommend renting a car since as driving around is the best way to explore all the amazing beaches the island has to offer. All you need is an official driving licence of your own country and you have to drive on the left.

Diving & Snorkelling
There a few international diving centres on Praslin so one can enjoy some of the best diving sites along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Discover an unspoiled aquatic heaven filled with coral gardens, turtles, white tip and nurse sharks and grey reef shark.
Some of the best snorkelling spots around Praslin are Anse Lazio and Anse Boudin.

Flying from Mahe to Praslin by Air Seychelles takes only 15 minutes but if you wish to go by boat, it will take an hour. Both plane and ferry tickets can be purchased online.

Seychelles’ climate is always warm and humid
Plenty of swimwear and light & comfortable clothing preferably made from natural fibres. Flip flops & sandals and also sport shoes if you are planning to go hiking.
Some hotels & resorts require men to wear long trousers for dinner so it's a good idea to pack a pair of cotton or linen slacks.
On the Seychelles the power plugs and sockets are of type G (UK type) and the standard voltage is 240 V. So make sure you take at least one adapter with you.
And don't forget about suntan lotion and insect repellents. You don't have to worry about packing beach towels, we've got you covered ;)
