The area presents an ideal escape from Auckland city (but is still within travelling distance as a fringe suburb) where guests can explore the famous west coast beaches, walks and bohemian lifestyle and local culture. Located close to Piha Beach (5min drive) and Karekare Beach (8min drive). The popular and scenic Mercer Bay Loop track is also located just at the end of the road for wilderness explorer’s.

Compact, purpose-built self-contained studio in Woodlands Park Titirangi, with a deck overlooking our lovely tranquil garden. There is a king-sized bed that can be separated into twin beds. We are located perfectly for access to Auckland’s West Coast beaches and the Waitakere Regional Park with its spectacular hills and forests and delightful Titirangi Village. Central Auckland is only 25 mins drive away. The Punga studio is small, but with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.

Pull back the ranch sliders in summer and open the house to the outdoors. Relax with dinner, drinks and the setting sun on the covered outdoor deck. Underfloor heating the bathrooms provides all year comfort. It's a 5min walk down the road to the start of the beach track and then a 20min stroll through the bush down to the beach (or a 3min drive!)

Sun-drenched and elevated with views towards beach and forest, this cosy kiwi bach is in a quaint, seaside suburb on the Manukau Harbour. A huge sunny deck makes this the perfect location for a relaxed summer stay and a woodburner makes it a cosy haven for winter. One minute walk to sheltered beach and nearby Huia Store Cafe and Waitakere trail walks, freshwater swimming holes and scenic lookouts at your doorstep and only 45 mins to Auckland central, 1 hour to the airport .

Tranquil Karekare Valley Home

Tranquil Valley Home, 4 guests 2 upstairs bedrooms. A walk on Karekare beach is one of the most memorable walks in the country. Some of the local bush and coastal walks are also highly rated. Karekare had some significant flooding in February 2023. There are still some road works being completed. We inform guests about these at the time of the booking. Open up the huge sliding doors and look out to Lion Rock and across the river to the Waitakere Ranges national park across the road.

Misty Mountain Hut - Piha

A tiny isolated hut amidst Kauri and Rimu trees to escape the world, self check in. Outdoor Fire, long drop, outdoor hot shower/bath. Surrounded by Tuis and Wood pigeons the hut is close to Piha and Karekare…or simply stay and enjoy nature. Beaches are 10 minutes away by car. Grocery shopping and gassing up recommended beforehand. Misty Mountain Hut supports local Piha staff by paying $40/hr.
