Come with me, a chef, for a behind-the-scenes look at Lisbon’s vibrant food culture, iconic markets, and historic streets. • Begin the morning at Manteigaria, where you’ll taste what many call the best pastel de nata in Lisbon. • Stroll through Mercado da Ribeira to meet some of my favorite vendors who keep the city's kitchens stocked with the freshest seafood, produce, and African ingredients, including century-old shops dedicated to Lisbon’s culinary staple—salted cod. • Sip cherry liquor at one of the oldest ginjinha bars and wrap up at Cinema São Jorge with a glass of Portuguese wine and local snacks, overlooking Avenida da Liberdade from one of the city’s most iconic balconies.
