I will introduce you 5 types of the most popular Bulgarian wines from local grapes as well as two types of local cheesе. Along the tasting I'll recount you about our wine regions and the history. Our customers are some of the best restaurants in Sofia, so a recommendation for your next gourmet experience in Sofia will be provided to you at the end of the tasting. All you need to do is to enjoy the true essence of Bulgarian wines and cheesе.
Sofia Communist Tour
Discover the main landmarks of communist history in the city of Sofia. Start your tour by passing by the former headquarters of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Continue on to see buildings such as the secret police investigation facility and the destroyed mausoleum. Head on towards the monument of the Soviet army and the National Palace of Culture. During the 3-hour-long walking tour, learn about the theory of communism and what Marxism-Leninism is. Find out about the history of communism in Bulgaria, the pros and cons of the period, and the relation between the communist government and religion, industry, economy, culture and everyday life of the people. End the tour with a fresh perspective on the city and a new insight into the country's communist past. Please note group size may vary depending on the season.
The New Sofia Pub Crawl
Join us for a pub crawl around Sofia's great night life! Don't miss the best opportunity to have fun with travellers from all over the world enjoying a few drinks and the best bars around town. During the week when less people join us, we go to some smaller and hidden locations with their own history and atmosphere. During the weekend we go to bigger venues, as more people (10+) are joining us. During the week: Our second place is a hidden bar with its own story that our guides tell to the guests. Our third place is an art location with a unique vibe. This venue has a special story which the guests of the pub crawl will learn. Our fourth place is is a lively bar on a weekday where the people on the pub crawl already know each other and level of enjoyment go on higher levels. Our last place during the week is a lively place where you can dance and have fun the rest of the night. We get there at about 12:30 - 1 am and you can stay until it closes in the early hours of the morning :) During the weekend: Our second place is a lively bar/club where the guests start enjoying the nightlife music in Sofia. Our third place is a venue where quite often the guests can hear live music) We have the sole intent to provide our guests with a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Any individual or group that is only interested in getting wasted as determined by the guides will be asked to leave
Lakatnik rocks and the caves
Our meeting point will be at the Central Train Station at 8am in Sofia. Romantic trip via train will bring us to our destination Station Lakatnik. Small village, built on the gorge of the longest river in Bulgaria-Iskar river. Only 52km from the capital Sofia you can feel the song of the birds and smell of the pinecorn forest. From the train station in Lakatnik we are going to hike up on the hills until we reached the top of the rocks where has been built the "September monumen"-place fulfill history. On our way we will have few stops to make panoramic photos. We will check the gate of the cave Temnata Dupka - The Dark Hole, the fourth longest cave in the country. We will keep going until an amazing view will be discovered in front of us. After a good relax we are going back, but this time we will take another path where we are going to see Ruzhishka cave and the Stone Arch. Before we catch up the train again, we can stop and have delicious meal made by eco products in a local restaurant in Lakatnik. Also we can do an optional nice and relaxing walk between some houses, limestone wreath above us and forest until we reach one more cave - Dupkata (The Hole) and Petrenski Vir (Petrenski river jump). Other things to note: The train ticket for both ways is included in the price. Please also be advised that inside of the caves is dirty, dusty or muddy - do not wear light clothes.
Cook and Eat Bulgaria
I will take you on a culinary adventure of the national Bulgarian cuisine. We will prepare seasonal meals and use fresh and locally grown products from the small local grocery stores. Together we will cook a hands-on four-course, traditional Bulgarian meal, including banitsa, a main dish, a salad or a soup, and a light dessert. We will start with the preparation of the classic pastry for banitsa from scratch while talking about mystical Bulgarian food and culture habits stories. Our soup will be traditional Bulgarian cold soup - Tarator (we will cook it only when cucumbers are tasty and in season - spring, summer or early autumn time, for the wintertime we will prepare a winter salad) followed by the main course, which will be based on your food preferences (vegetarian or classic meat dish) and finishing with delicious Bulgarian yogurt dessert with homegrown/made ingredients. You will have the chance to learn classic recipes and secret tips for mastering Bulgarian cuisine. I will be happy to share with you products grown in my family's back yard with a lot of love and care, like homemade alcoholic drinks and classic Bulgarian preserves. Other things to note Vegetarian and Vegan options are available upon request. Please, inform me about any food allergies.
Premium honey and herbal tea tasting
*** Great for groups and team-building *** We'll meet at " secret" location in the middle of the city center, just steps away from the main Serdika metro station. Our place is very unique and it has an authentic and aristocratic style! Elegant music and vintage atmosphere will accompany you while we offer you a taste of special honey selection and a warm cup of homemade Ceylon herbal tea :)! You will have the pleasure to taste 5 different types of carefully selected honey, try the traditional Bulgarian pastry "mekitsa" and enjoy two warm cups of special home made Ceylon tea with mix of local healing herbs (you will select the flavors and the herbs, based on your taste :))! During the tasting you will hear a lot of stories about our honey, tea and history. This will make your experience very pleasant and memorable :)!
Explore Sofia center on a bike
*** Great for groups and team-building *** We'll meet in the old city center, steps away from the central metro station Serdika (super easy access from all points of the city). We'll provide safety gear (helmet + reflective jacket) and a bottle of water. We'll quickly socialize and then start with the city bike tour :). Our first point will be the Sofia Synagogue, which is the largest synagogue in Southeastern Europe, then we will stop by the Regional History Museum - Sofia, where you can drink from the popular hotsprings pure mineral water :). Next stop will be the famous Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the largest Eastern Orthodox church buildings in Europe. You will have the opportunity to quickly drop the bike, take some really nice pictures and visit the cathedral :). Our journey will continue through all the major attractions till we reach the National Theater where we'll have a short break and take some more pictures :). You will have the pleasure to enjoy a very relaxed ride, see all the beautiful touristic points and learn a lot about our history and culture :). At the end we'll head back to the starting point, to leave the bikes and share our experience :)!

"Discover Bulgaria with dance" is the only experience in Sofia that gives guests the opportunity to explore the culture of Bulgaria with the art of dance. You will have the chance to learn a folklore dance and to feel the spirit of Balkans by immersing yourself in the magic of Bulgarian folklore. Wine tasting in heart of Sofia!
During your personal tasting experience I will guide you through the distinctive world of Bulgarian wines. Although Bulgaria has been producing wine for 5000 years it is still relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Now a rising new generation of Bulgarian boutique winemakers are devoted to the craft and bringing new attention to our country. You will taste 5 wine varieties of local grapes unique to Bulgaria, that can not be found anywhere else: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza and Rubin. Plus, local cheeses, artisanal bread and mineral water. The tasting is held in one of the best boutique wine shops in Sofia – Tempus Vini, which is located on an artsy street in the city center, known for its fine restaurants and boutiques. And just a few streets away from Sofia’s main pedestrian boulevard. During the tasting I can tell you about the wine regions of Bulgaria including the history and the wine culture of my beautiful country. All tastings are held in English or Bulgarian. Duration is about 1.5 hours. Then I can offer you suggestions of my favorite restaurants nearby to finish your evening. :) Other things to note Please inform me if some of the guests have any allergies. Thank you. Wonders of Bulgaria - Rila and Boyana
We'll meet up at the starting location behind Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, next to "La Cattedrale" restaurant at 8:45. Departure is at 09:00 sharp. (GPS coordinates: 42.695601, 23.333790). We would then travel in a comfortable and modern vehicle to our first destination - Boyana church, where we'll see the magnificent frescoes of this UNESCO site. After this, we'll head to the Rila monastery complex, have our tour there and you'll also have some free time for a quick snack, buy souvenirs or explore on your own. Departure will be at around 15:00 At the end of the day, around 17:30 o'clock we'll be back at the starting point. During the entire trip, you'll be provided with all the information about the locations and you can feel free to ask anything! Other things to note: -There is a dress code in the Monastery: you'd have to be with long trousers/skirts and no sleeveless tops. -The visit inside Boyana is limited to 10 minutes due to the preservation rules of the church. - We advise you to bring cash. There is no working ATM at the Monastery. They do not accept cards everywhere! - Please note, that on 24,25, and 26 December (Christmas), the 1st of January, and 14, 15, 16, and 17 April 2023 (Orthodox Easter) the Boyana Church will NOT be visited, as it's not working. - Please, kindly note that on the 1st of January the tour is starting at 11:00!!!

Next stop will be the famous National Theater where you can take some really nice pictures, then we'll ride through The National Palace of Culture and Lovers Bridge till we reach the beginning of the first park. Our journey will continue through South Park, Loven Park and Boris' Garden. You will have the pleasure to enjoy a very relaxed ride and super beautiful sceneries :). We'll have few breaks during the tour, so you can make some more pictures and enjoy the nature :) On the way back we'll ride back to the National Theater and then head back to the starting point, to leave the bikes and share our experience :)!
The Ultimate Art Tour of Sofia
*** Great for groups and team-building *** The tour will start in front of the entrance of Alexander Nevsky Cathedral - one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in Eastern Europe, which is also one of the main attractions in the capital of Bulgaria. One the group gets together, we will take some time to get to know each other and everyone will have the opportunity to quickly visit the cathedral before we start the Art Tour and take some pictures. I will bring you to some of the most popular art galleries in Sofia. Afterwards we will pass the Presidency and enter the tunnels where the Ancient Complex Serdika is located. End the tour of a secret gallery, where each of the guests will receive one drink :) - a glass of wine, beer or water. We will be happy to hear your feedback and tell us how you spent your time :).

UNESCOS Rila Monastery and Boyana Church
This is usually a small group tour. The meeting point for it is behind Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, next to Cafe La Catehdrale at 8;45am. The departure is at 9am. The monastery is situated in the beautiful Rila mountain. The traveling time to it is about two hours. The monastery is UNESCO heritage site and it is the biggest monastery complex in Bulgaria. There you will have about 40-minute guided tour with which you will learn about the history and the legends related to the monastery. If you are interested, we can visit its museum as well (the ticket is 8 lev per person and it is not included in the price of the tour). After that, you will have some free time to check the shops, take some photos and have lunch break. If your tour is on a weekend day during the summer, the restourants next to the monastery could be crowded, so you can bring your own food from Sofia in order to save some time. At about 2pm we will depart to Sofia and on the way back we will stop at the Boyana Church- another UNESCO heritage site, situated in the footsteps of the Vitosha Mountain. The entrance ticket here is 10BGN - you pay should pay it on spot (it is not included in the main price of the tour). Once again, the guide will tell you about their history and what they represent. The visit in the church is about 20 minutes. The return in the center of Sofia is at about 5;30 pm.
