We'll meet outside York Library for a gentle 3 hour Photowalk, giving us loads of time for stories & photos. Along the way, I will provide tips and advice on how to capture captivating images of the city you will want to share. This is a friendly walk in a small group and we always take the time to introduce ourselves so that you will feel part of the group. We start with the stunning vaulted remains of the medieval hospital, the only surviving Roman walls you can walk on and the remains of the Roman fortress. We'll take the secret entrance into the enchanting Museum gardens to walk amongst the ruins of St Mary's Abbey. From there it's Henry VIII's glorious King's Manor and then through the ancient gateway for some spectacular and unusual views of York Minster. We will view the Minster up close and explore the alleyways to find the oldest house in the city, Barley Hall and the historic street of the ladies of the night. We will follow the Viking route back into the bustle, before we show you views of the Shambles most visitors miss. Then we take in York's best-kept secret Fossgate, before a hidden alley takes into a stunning Medieval Guildhall followed by a riverside walk to York Castle. Other things to note This is mostly an easy walk on solid ground. There will be opportunities for additional comfort breaks if required
The Original York Christmas History Tour
Back for its fourth year - the most festive event of the year! We will take a magical Christmas tour through the historic streets of central York, voted the UK's most Festive City. Along the route I will take you on a unique journey through the history of Christmas in the city, helping you to understand how the traditions of Christmas evolved through history. We will use beautiful locations in the ancient city as our backdrop, to tell the story of how an ancient mid winter festival developed into the Christmas we enjoy today. Bringing to life stories of how the Romans, Vikings, Victorians and others introduced their customs into our celebrations and we find the source and meaning of our traditions that make up Christmas and New Year. The tour lasts 90 minutes through the street and alleyways of historic York and we finish our tour around the Christmas Tree in St Helen's Square. A truly unique Christmas experience in the UK's best-loved city. We will all follow the Government guidance on social distancing to keep everyone safe. Pottery in the Peak District
Get your hands dirty in the pottery studio! You'll learn how to throw on a wheel and some simple creative techniques to make your pots special. Everyone will at the very least produce a cup and a dish, you'll be able to decorate your work and it'll be included in our next wood kiln firing. Other things to note This experience is tailored for people who are creative, you don't need any experience of pottery... but if you do, great, you can really push your creativity.
Silversmith ring making workshop
When you arrive I will give you a quick tour of the workshop and get you an apron to get started on making your own piece of jewellery. You will learn how to measure, cut and texturise your silver before we solder the pieces of silver together. You will learn how to clean and prepare the silver ready for soldering and once soldered we will form our designs into shape using a hammer and mandrel finally pickling and polishing the jewellery ready to take home after your Experience Other things to note Our minimum age for workshops is 11 years old. Go deep into the Manchester craft beer scene with our tour experience around the city. Lasting 3.5 hours, you’ll visit 4 of some of the best craft beer breweries and tap houses in the city. Along the way you’ll be entertained with local historical facts and of course drink lots of craft beer! On each tour you’ll get 10-12 craft beers (1/3 pints) in total. You’ll taste some signature beers, some subtly strong beers, all the way to the absolutely weird and wonderful craft beers you never knew existed. One thing is for sure, you’ll definitely taste some beer you’ll have never tried before! Many people have discovered their new favourite beer on our tours. The venues we visit are not always open to the public but with our unique tour, you will get to enjoy an unrivalled look at the exciting Manchester beer scene, and most importantly of all, taste its fantastic range! Fancy having a throw with a master potter? This is a pottery class where you will learn how to handle clay, from preparing to manipulating it by hand on the pottery wheel. Guided by David (of Partington's Pots), you will produce your very own hand-thrown mug. After the session, the pot will be fired and available to collect (or be posted to you) the following week. This activity will take place inside a vibrant artist studio, buzzing with Salford-based creatives. This is your opportunity to unleash your inner artist!

You will arrive at the farm - which has wonderful views We will give you a short talk on the Alpacas; * how to keep you and your Alpaca safe * how to put your Alpaca at ease and gain the most from your experience. * the care and husbandry tasks for alpacas We will match you to the Alpaca which would suit you best, collect "the boys" and go for a walk around our farm - this will be through wooded areas and fields and we will stop to allow you time to pet the Alpacas and get to know them. PLEASE ENSURE YOU WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR. We will have cuddles and photo opportunities and hand feed them. You will be able to feel some of their fleece and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop if you wish to make some "fertiliser tea" once you return home to help your garden grow! You may have the chance to meet our Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. You will leave the experience with increased knowledge about these wonderful animals and benefit from some time in their company. The Yorkshire Three Peaks a guided trail walk
Join us on the famous Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge, starting at Horton in Ribblesdale we will climb Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough the 24.5 mile trail walk that takes you through the stunning landscapes of this beautiful national park. Throughout the tour there are plenty of opportunities to pause to capture photo’s and take in the stunning views. It should be noted that this tour may not suit more novice walkers. It’s approximately 24.5 miles and the aim is for the tour to be completed in under 12 hours. Whilst it is designed to be more demanding it’s fun, flexible in giving short rest breaks and provides a brilliant sense of accomplishment. We also provide each guest with a personalised certificate of achievement emailed after the event. I have competed and coached on track, road and trail for over 35 years climbing across the UK and Europe. Highly knowledgeable on nutritional support and best training practices, I’ve vast experience of the local area and a member of The British Mountaineering Club. Sheep Hugging & Hot Chocolate
A magical experience with some truly amazing sheep. I have a love for these animals as i feel they are very misunderstood. GIven the chance they are very affectionate and loving, very similar to a dog. We are home to 140 plus sheep, many shy and timid that have been in the farming industry, but a lot of our Forever flocks will run to you like an excited puppy. You will meet our Blacknose Valais, our rare breeds and our spoilt rotten forever lambs. We will finish with Vegan Hot Chocolate and homemade Rocky road We also have a small hut on site with homemade products using our sheared sheeps wool... Take away memories to last a lifetime Other things to note Our food is all plant based, if you have any allergies please let us know in advance. We use soya milk in our drinks but can offer other non dairy and can do gluten free but please message us a few days before arrival or when you book. Wellies are always good as even in summer

Valais Blacknose Sheep Walking In Whitby
You will meet and greet our beautiful Blacknose Valais sheep who just love the attention. The sheep will probably choose who he wants to walk with :0) We have Casanova (who likes to kiss) Prince jammie who is a real mummy's boy, his brother Humbug, Gogo the boss sheep whose gorgeous and he knows it, Rondo who loves to shout for attention and new boy Reggie We also have 3 very unusual Black, Blacknose Valais, who are to shy to walk on a lead with us yet but who knows what the future holds. We will take a walk around the grounds where you will see briefly our other residents (if you wish to do a full on sheep hugging tour then we now do a separate experience ) You'll have plenty of time to bond with your valais - one of the most peaceful, 'soft to the touch' animals you could hope to meet! Don't forget to take as many photos as you like to capture those all important memories. We will finish the walk with Vegan Tea & Scones in our shepherds hut (mini shop) where we sell handmade products using the wool from our rescued sheep Making memories to last a lifetime Other things to note We are a plant based, meat free site so please respect that. Guided Yorkshire Dales walk with snack and lunch provided
Come a share a guided walk of the Crackpots Mosaic Trail with me, in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This seven mile exploration of Nidderdale will expose you to a host of footpaths and terrains, from moorland to farmland, through fords and woodland. You will enjoy homemade refreshments on route, and a picnic at the end of the walk, provided by your guide, who is also a Private Chef. All dietary requirements can be catered for. If you would like to enjoy all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer in walking and food, then this is the Experience for you.
Seaglass Silversmith Jewellery workshop
Join our seaglass workshop and learn how to make your own piece of seaglass jewellery. When you arrive I will show you the different shapes and pieces of seaglass we have foraged for you from our beach. Once you have chosen your perfect piece I will teach you how to make a setting from measuring, cutting, filing and finally soldering. You can choose to have your piece as a necklace a ring or a bangle. The final and most rewarding step is to set and polish your seaglass jewellery!
Pudding and Ale Vintage Bike Ride
After meeting at a local train station, easily accessible from the cities of Sheffield and Manchester, we’ll run through the gears etc. and ensure the bike is set up to suit you. We will ride at a leisurely pace and enjoy stops along the way to discover the hidden past of this beautiful area and take in the splendid scenery of the Park District National Park. If you like big views and want to enjoy the social as much as the ride then our Pudding and Ale vintage bike tour is for you. Starting and finishing at the ancient Peak District village of Bamford you’ll adventure north on the traffic-free Thornhill Trail, an easy going start. You’ll take in some gentle up and downs as you follow the quiet gravel road along the shores of Derwent Reservoir, where you’ll enjoy great views across the Dark Peak and Derwent Valley beyond. On your return we take in a pub stop at the welcoming Yorkshire Bridge Inn where you can enjoy either a traditional Yorkshire Pudding with gravy or a Bakewell Pudding, and a pint of the local ale. You’ll soon be refreshed for the short ride back to the station on country lanes. From here it is around a 20 minute train journey back to the bustling centre of Sheffield. Join our retro bike ride and be guided by local experts as you journey through the beautiful Peak District countryside. You'll explore new places and have a great time!
Peak District Wild Herb Discovery Walk
Put on your walking shoes & join us outside the friendly local White Lion Pub. We will introduce ourselves & choose together a beautiful walk route that will suit us all. Great Longstone, is a lovely friendly village, surrounded by stunning countryside, and an abundance of Wild Herbs. I will introduce you to them as we walk, explaining their gifts, with history & folklore. If you would like to gather wild herbs to make a cup of foraged Herb Tea en route, please bring a flask of hot water & a collecting bag. After a beautiful walk, full of facts & entertaining anecdotes, you may see the world in a whole new light as you return to the welcoming village of Great Longstone! This Walk is a great Experience for couples, families & private group bookings. If you can’t find the date or time you want to book this beautiful Herb Walk for, please contact me with your request, I will try to arrange it for you! Please bring a waterproof jacket in case it rains, wear appropriate clothing & footwear. COVID UPDATE: Guests are required to keep 2 meters apart from anyone who is not “in their social bubble” until government guidelines change. Other things to note This will be a gentle to medium walk depending which route we choose together. Please dress for the changeable Peak District weather.
