Superb French-inspired cuisine aside, this restaurant is home to two stellar bars that are the epitome of class and sophistication. The dapper bartenders know their stuff, and classic cocktails rule, but exceptions include their house trademark Pastis Fizz: an aniseed-toned number with cognac, cream, honey, citrus, whites, and soda. You can’t book a seat at either bar, so arrive early in the evening, before 6 pm, to ensure a seat or booth. They’re particularly packed on Thursdays, when there’s live jazz on the stage in the restaurant.

Both the restaurant and bar are incredible. Walking down the winding stairs from the Bligh st entrance is like walking into 1930s France. This is a classic French bistro, the food is top notch, the drinks are great, one of the most popular restaurants in town. Its brilliant. They also have live music on the weekends.
